Question: How do we send artwork and what are the requirements?

Answer:

  • The artwork, which can be in colour or in black and white, should either be created in Adobe IIIustrator or Coral Draw as a vectorized file or drawn freehand and saved in Adobe IIIustrator in .ai or .eps format.
  • We cannot accept faxes, business cards, photographs, or photocopies of any kind.
  • Any fonts used in the file must be converted to outlines or supplied along with the file.
  • If you do not have the original artwork, Muldoon Marketing can create it for you.

Question: How is the price of embroidery determined?

Answer:

  • Your logo is digitized onto a disk.
  • The price of the disk is determined by the size and stitch-count of the logo.
  • The number of stitches in your logo determines the per unit cost for embroidery.

Question: How is the price of screen-printing determined?

Answer:

  • Film and screens are produced from the artwork provided.
  • The number of colours and the quantity determines the per unit cost for screen-printing.

Question: What is the turnaround time for a product?

Answer:

  • Two to three weeks for in-stock items from the day you give your final approval of the artwork.
  • Custom orders – call for details.
  • Shipping adds one to five days, depending on the destination.
  • Note: many of our suppliers offer 24Hour service.
  • Bottom line: You tell us when you need it and we’ll tell you (if) we can do it.

Question: What is the minimum quantity for an order?

Answer:

  • It depends on the product. Call us to inquire.

Question: What are over/underruns?

Answer:

  • There are times when the exact quantity of an order may not be shipped due to damaged items, or poor logo applications, which do not meet our standards.
  • Quantities are subject to an overrun or an under run of 5 to 10 % of the amount ordered.
  • You are billed only for the exact amount shipped at the per unit price.

Graphic Design & Print

  1. What kind of artwork is acceptable?
  2. What is Vector Artwork?

Question: What kind of artwork is acceptable?

Answer:

  • Vector formatted artwork is preferred, created in Illustrator or Corel Draw (.eps, .ai or .cdr).
  • Text must be converted to curves or outlines.
  • If vector artwork is not available, Muldoon’s in-house graphic designer can convert or create vector artwork.

Question: What is Vector Artwork?

Answer:

  • Vector artwork is created on the computer using graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw etc.
  • Vector artwork allows the artist to manipulate the artwork. For instance if the logo needs to be made larger, the artist can do so without affecting the quality of the artwork.
  • Unlike vector artwork, scans can’t be manipulated because they weren’t created on a computer. A scan is like a photograph; one flat element that can’t be changed.
  • Examples of artwork that are NOT in vector format include: photographs, letterhead, photocopies, business cards, faxed art, jpegs, gifs, powerpoint (.pps), word (.doc, .wdp).
